Streamers will do literally anything these days to get eyeballs on their content, which sometimes leads to some questionable and unethical practices. From getting manhandled by a homeless person to offering free meals to fast-food workers to even spraying grocery items with bug spray, nothing’s off the table on the quest for “entertaining content.” Recently, a pair of streamers live-streamed themselves harassing the owner of the house from Breaking Bad with a fake pizza delivery. Not only did the New Mexico resident get incredibly irate, but the cops were also allegedly called due to the disturbance.
The almost-four-minute clip takes place in the sunny suburbs of Albuquerque, New Mexico at the exact location of the ranch-style house owned by fictional teacher-turned-drug dealer Walter White from AMC’s hit TV show. A young man in a stripy white and blue polo shirt is stood outside the gates with a pizza in his hands. In the distance, you can hear the annoyed voice of a woman yell, “Get that outta here! Get that pizza the f*ck outta here!” Turns out the lady’s voice is in fact the real-life owner of the house.
“No, I did not order pizza. It’s not mine. Get it out of here! Get it out of here!” shouts the New Mexico resident. “It’s already paid for, ma’am. It’s paid for.” exclaims the streamer, who is pretending to assume the role of a pizza delivery guy for a supposed “skit” for his channel. “I DID NOT ORDER IT!” yells the owner, getting increasingly frustrated. “I wanna buy the house,” jokes the streamer. “You’re not buying sh*t!” responds the woman.
After some back and forth, you can hear a next door neighbor intervening and instructing the woman to go inside, though she refuses to follow this advice. “Sean, can you call the cops for me?” the irate woman asks her neighbor. This doesn’t seem to perturb the annoying streamer, though. “Ma’am, can we at least score some meth?” jokes the streamer, which is obviously a reference to all the drug-dealing featured in Breaking Bad.
Next, things get a little more heated when the streamer attempts to pass the pizza over the gate. This really irritates the homeowner even more. “Get it out of here! Get it out of here!” growls the increasingly angry woman. “My neighbors are on the phone to the cops. Both of them.” She threatens. “You want to get arrested? Get the f*ck outta here!“
“I’m gonna leave it right here.” the annoying streamer responds, placing the pizza on the ground in front of her gate. As a result of this, the New Mexico resident exits her gate and proceeds to angrily kick the pizza away. “Get outta here! Get out!” she screams. “What about the meth?” replies the streamer, before the clip comes to an end.
As the clip begins to gain momentum online, reactions have largely condemned the inconsiderate and rude actions of the annoying streaming grifters. One user on Reddit wrote, “Jesus Christ, can’t they just leave these residents alone?” with a second commenter chiming in with, “I feel bad for the neighbors too, constantly having fucktards cruising your block doing dumb sh*t.”
A third user thoughtfully reflected on how tired this joke has become, penning, “Probably the 99,672nd time they’ve had people bother them with a pizza gag.” For the unaware, the pizza gag is a reference to Season 3 Episode 2 “Caballo Sin Nombre” from Breaking Bad, when the main protagonist Walter White throws a pizza onto the top of the house when his wife Skyler refuses to let him in.
Interestingly, this is far from the first time that an incident like this has happened at the property. In fact, plenty of fans have done similar things, so much so, that the creator of the hit show, Vince Gilligan, actually made a plea to fans, asking them to stop bombarding the house. “There is nothing original or funny or cool about throwing a pizza on this lady’s roof.” Gilligan said, according to The Guardian.
While it’s unclear whether the police actually arrived on the scene, it’s fair to say that the streamer had undoubtedly crossed the line with his low-hanging fruit antics, leaving the internet far from impressed with their cringeworthy stunt.
