Respawn Entertainment has announced the return of its annual April Fools’ celebration in Apex Legends. This year’s festivities feature the Mozambique shotgun, a weapon that has long been considered one of the weakest in the game. However, Respawn is again turning the tables by introducing four new versions of the Mozambique, each with unique abilities and quirks.
How to Get Mozambiques (Ol’ Nessie) in Apex Legends April Fools
To obtain one of these new Mozambiques, players must ping a weapon, which will then be replaced by a Mozambique of the same ammo type. Shotguns have a chance of spawning with all gold attachments, while Ol’ Nessie, a fan-favorite from last year’s event, also makes a return.
These new Mozambiques can be found in the standard Trios and Duos playlists, and players have until the global daily reset at 1 PM ET to try them out. While they may look the same as the original model, each Mozambique uses a different ammo type and behaves very differently. Magazine sizes, fire rates, damage per shot, and other properties are all featured, allowing players to experiment and find their favorite combinations.
- Mozambeam
- Mozamblam
- Mozamburst
- Mozambrrr
- Ol’ Nessie
- Uses Shotgun Ammo
- 2 magazine size
- Bullets do no damage
- Fires Baby Nessies that chase enemies and deal 19 damage
- Nessies expire after 8.5 seconds or after taking 30 damage
Respawn’s commitment to celebrating holidays in all of its games is well-known, and the Apex Legends April Fools’ event is no exception. The studio’s dedication to keeping the game fresh and exciting is commendable. These new Mozambiques are just one example of their commitment to providing players with new and interesting content.
On the other hand, Respawn announced the new 1.000.034 update. The patch notes include a plethora of changes to everything from the weapon crafting systems to run-of-the-mill bug fixes.
