It wasn’t long ago that Sony gave its PS Plus members Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection for free. Also, it seems that April 2020 will see Nathan Drake’s saga come to a close for PS Plus subscribers. In a since-removed video PlayStation Access, a PlayStation run YouTube channel, leaked that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End would be accompanying Dirt Rally 2.0 for April’s PS Plus offered titles.
The Hits Keep Coming for PS Plus
If correct, PS Plus subscribers will be receiving one of the premier system exclusives to date. Widely considered to be a 10 out of 10 game, fans and reviewers alike have praised the heavyweight for its Hollywood level production and award-worthy storytelling. IGN’s Lucy O’Brien had this to say in her review of the game:
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is a remarkable achievement in blockbuster storytelling and graphical beauty..Uncharted 4 carries on the series’ proud tradition of peerless polish and style, with a great multiplayer component to boot. Most importantly, it’s a gentle sendoff to the rag-tag group of characters we’ve known for nine years. A worthy thief’s end, indeed.
The narrative follows Drake and company, including (SPOILER) his long lost brother Sam, in their search for Henry Avery’s treasure. Nathan Drake’s swan song is exactly as O’Brien claims, “A worthy thief’s end, indeed.”
Experienced Drivers Wanted
However, if third-person exploration games aren’t your niche, then Dirt Rally 2.0 may be up your alley. The sibling to Dirt 4 has been available on Xbox Game Pass for some time, and it’s now time for PS Plus users to experience the challenging driving simulation themselves.
Unlike simpler racing games, Dirt Rally 2.0 requires a lot from its players. Controlling your favorite cars on different tracks under varying weather circumstances is tough. I wasn’t sure if I belonged after my first test drive. That said, perseverance is the key to surviving Dirt. Accepting the challenge and crossing the finish line on the other side is highly rewarding. With sports on a hiatus right now, why not take a shot on Dirt Rally 2.0?
A Grain of Salt
Remember, this leak is not confirmed information. However, Uncharted 4 and Dirt Rally 2.0 are probably safe bets if you gamble on these sorts of things. The official announcement for April’s PS Plus titles is set for Wednesday, April 1, and the announced titles will become available for download on Tuesday, April 7. Be sure to keep an eye on PlayStation in the coming week.
