Ariel Winter may have dropped 30 pounds in 2019, but it looks like the trolls are still out to body-shame her. The sitcom star, 26, had the paparazzi following her every move during a 2020 outing in Laguna Beach, CA, one seeing her joined by boyfriend Luke Benward as she put on a summery display in a stylish beach dress.
Showing off her fit and curvy figure as she relaxed on sands and even got a massage from her beau, Ariel kept colorful as she matched her sundress to her swimwear, with seemingly enough skin on show for users online to rip her apart. Fortunately, the Modern Family star’s fans were there to support here, with many now saying that the shaming remarks left to The Daily Mail‘s photos are unacceptable.
Going makeup-free as she chilled out, Ariel flashed her shapely legs and hourglass waistline in a printed red and pink minidress.
Covering most of her red two-piece swimsuit with her beach dress, the actress stuck to a girly, cute style for her day out, adding in a chic white purse with a gold shoulder chain, plus shades worn atop her head in some photos. Ariel even showed off her back tattoo in snaps showing her shot from behind — here, the Instagram favorite flaunted a criss-cross strapping detail that added a fun twist to her beach cover-up.
Rocking her blonde locks back, Ariel kept her glam to a minimum, sporting only a red manicure as she completed her outfit with a flat pair of gladiator sandals.
Body-Shamed By Trolls
While the trolling remarks are still live, it looks like those with some sense have taken over. Currently leading the way in the comments is a fan saying: “Some people’s comments on here are appalling. She’s a nice normal size. Mind your own business.”
The remark came referencing the many comments targeting Ariel for her weight, ones including: “I feel for her. It’s hard to fight genetics/ur natural body type. One week off the diet and it’s back at square one.”
“She looked great slimmer but she has her mom’s square build whenever she gains the weight back shame,” another user had written. Over 100 users had liked a comment stating: “Looks like the weight she lost is slowly finding her again.”
Ariel had opened up about the victim of body-shaming in 2020. Speaking to Teen Vogue as the ABC sitcom she’d grown up on came to an end, Ariel had said that “people on the internet really suck.” She even revealed having been called a “fat sl*t” by one troll.
Also victims of body-shaming have been stars including singers Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez.
