We’re not even ten days into the New Year, and the country is already experiencing some of the most turbulent times ever. After what happened in Minneapolis, people are angry, scared, and just trying to make sense of what is going on. However, there are some individuals out there who are taking the fight to the streets, standing up for what they believe, and trying to show the government that they do not agree with the direction the country is taking, and yes, we’re talking about protests. One of the biggest ones we’ve seen today took place in Phoenix, Arizona, where hundreds of people banded together to voice their concerns through peaceful protests.
A citizen from Phoenix recorded the recent protest that took place on Central Ave. Here, you can see dozens, maybe even hundreds of people protesting. If you don’t know why, well, it is all because of what’s been happening in the country lately, mainly what just occurred in Minneapolis.
The OP claims that the protesters have been outside the Attorney General’s office all day, while another Redditor mentioned that they have been holding all-day demonstrations outside the ICE Field Office. Furthermore, it seems that many Arizona citizens are organizing themselves to continue with peaceful protests and hold more events.
Another reason why the protests have been ramping up is that many individuals have claimed that ICE activity has risen in the past weeks, making many believe that Arizona might be next in the list of states that will be hit with DHS and ICE agents.
“Keep hearing they’re planning on ‘targeting’ Phoenix soon,” commented Real_WeThePeople via Reddit.
If so, many people are preparing for that, which explains the recent protests.
So far, many Redditors on the Phoenix subreddit have been asking for information about the following protests. A few others have praised Phoenix citizens and are hoping that they continue raising their voices regarding the recent events. Many, however, are showering those in the video with praise, saying that this is the right thing to do.

It is uncertain if ICE and DHS will really hit Arizona, but if they do, we imagine chaos will unfold. We can only hope that things do not escalate. What happened in Minneapolis was terrible and something that should stop right now.
