It’s a well-known phenomenon by now to get fired over racist tirades and even malicious comments towards a deceased political commentator. Now, it appears that verbally insulting ICE agent fans is a new action that can get you in trouble and bury your career, like what happened to a certain man from Arizona. His angry rant towards women who took a selfie with ICE agents landed him in deep trouble.
The incident took place in Phoenix, Arizona, around January 27th, and in the video, you can see a group of people following and insulting a couple of women who allegedly took a selfie with ICE agents. One of the women in the angry crowd called the ICE fans, “Nasty girls who love ICE and take photos with them!” But what really made the interaction memorable for many was the man who kept shouting expletives at the ICE fans.
The recording of the video even followed the angry man around after the incident and tried to have a “talk” with him, though it appears the latter was not interested. For some reason, however, the angry man was tracked online and identified as Mark Holodnak, who worked at a real estate agency named HomeSmart.
Apparently, hundreds of angry callers stormed the real estate agency, and sadly for Holodnak, HomeSmart apparently let him go after finding out about the incident. According to the real estate agency, “This is not reflective of HomeSmart’s culture and values. The agent has been terminated.” It’s not clear what actions Holodnak took after his agency fired him.
People online are threatening the former realtor
It’s not clear what happened to the two women whom he heckled, but for Holodnak, however, it appears his troubles online are just getting started. There’s no shortage of people online who are adding more fuel to the fire and even leaving some rather worrying comments on what they’ll do to the former realtor.
“No matter what your political affiliation, right is right and wrong is wrong,” according to someone more level-headed, though someone else wishes more trouble on Holodnak, “I’m not a fan of lawsuits, but I hope these young ladies sue both this person – I refuse to call him a man.” For some reason, other people of the Democratic party and even other anti-ICE people have been roped into the negative sentiments.
Arizona, meanwhile, might be experiencing more similar incidents soon, as ICE agents have been spotted ramping up their operations in Phoenix. Recently, ICE has raided Zipps Sports Grill locations across Arizona on Monday, and the raids have also been met with numerous protests.
