The streets of Arizona looked less like a roadway and more like a landfill, considering the amount of trash left behind after Charlie Kirk’s memorial. An Arizona patriot was stunned by the state of the street, showing the desolate state of the environment in a TikTok video later posted on Reddit. The man took a 12-second clip panning the street from left to right, while complaining about the influx of people and the mess they left behind.
“This is what you came into my city for? To trash it?” he demanded. The road was littered with all kinds of items on both sides, from forgotten clothing to shopping carts crammed with plastic bags, coffee cups, and buckets, as well as numerous shopping bags on the ground, and even camping chairs.
The local man expected the city to be treated with far more respect and demanded that those attending the memorial do the same. “C’mon, man, respect my city”, he cried out. On Reddit, many users echoed his outrage, with some expressing more disgust not only at the trash but the attendees themselves and all they stood for.
One netizen argued that a person’s interactions with their surroundings reveal who they are. “How you treat your environment illustrates who you are as a person,” they stated before revealing their opinion on the late conservative’s mourners, “These people are trash. Just like everything they represent.”
Another shared the same opinion but opted for sarcasm, remarking, “They are too good to pick up after themselves. It is for their lessers.” Still branding the attendees as trash, another user noted that they were not surprised, “Fitting since there was nothing but trash attending the memorial too.” Biting with sarcasm, another Redditor wrote, “Nothing says I love my city like partying hard and leaving it looking like a raccoon’s birthday bash.”
Taunting the legacy of the slain right-wing advocate, a netizen likened the street to it, writing, “Just like his legacy… Covered in MAGA sh*t,” while another user jeered, “Is this the definition of ‘White trash’?” The barrage of ridicule did not end there, as many more social media users had more to say about the mourners’ behaviour. “Not surprised as MAGA only thinks about themselves and cares about themselves,” one stated.
In response to the local man’s plea for respect for his city, a user retorted bluntly, “These people do not respect our country; it’s too much for them to respect your city.”
