An Arizona woman obviously wanted to make her wedding anniversary a special one for her beloved husband. Instead, though, she went viral on TikTok for delivering one of the most cringeworthy videos that some had ever seen on the app. While her heart may have been in the right place, the video unfortunately didn’t land with the internet, and her husband’s reaction was a hot topic of conversation in the comments section.

In the TikTok video, the Arizona woman is seen barefoot in her kitchen waiting for her husband to walk through the door after his day at work. There are rose petals scattered on the floor in front of her, and she has a huge smile on her face. When her husband comes inside, that’s when the real magic starts.

The wife has an actual guitar player standing next to her strumming a tune and helping to guide her in the lyrics as she belts out the song Fools Rush In as best as she can. However, she’s off-key and even gets some of the lyrics wrong. Of course, it’s the thought that counts, right?

As the video goes on, it’s revealed that there are more family members there to witness the performance. A toddler is seen walking around, as well as an elderly man sitting on the couch. “Help me with the words and I’ll sing it for you,” the man yells out. The family then starts to sing along as the sequined-jacket-wearing guitar player tries to help them as much as possible. “I can’t even hear ya,” the older man later interrupts.

It’s clear that the woman took a lot of care to plan out the surprise for her husband. On the kitchen counter it appears that she’s made him a nice meal, complete with a large salad.

As his wife gets through her anniversary performance, the man stands in a t-shirt and a pair of jeans, simply waiting for her to finish. His face is relatively blank. However, once she’s done, he does smile at her and greets her with a hug and kiss.

The real comedy comes in the comments section, where the internet didn’t hold back.

“Imagine having to use the bathroom and just waiting till you got home…. and walk in to this….” one person commented about the husband.

“Not Willy Wonka’s grandpa trying to help her out,” another person joked.

“Not going to lie…. I would have walked right back out the door,” a third person stated.

“So this was hard to watch,” a fourth person confessed.

All love stories are different, and while this may have been a sweet and tender moment in person, it definitely didn’t translate to the internet. Hopefully, this Arizona couple doesn’t take it too personally.
