As tattoos continue to increase in popularity over the years, they have also become a fun experience for couples. However, for this Arkansas couple, their day of getting some ink turned into a disaster. Liz Corleone and her husband planned to get tattoos in each other’s handwriting. Liz then decided that she wanted one that had to do with Taylor Swift. Although it seems safe to say things did not turn out as planned.
Newsweek confirms that Liz wanted something to do with Taylor Swift’s newest album, The Tortured Poets Department. Liz decided to go with some lyrics from the song “Guilty as Sin?” by Taylor. The lyrics read, “What if he’s written ‘mine’ on my upper thigh?” However, when the other half of the Arkansas couple went to write the word “mine,” the handwriting was not the best. The tattoo artist did not see the vision, and it ended with Liz’s tattoo being misspelled.
Arkansas Couple Causes Online Drama Over Taylor Swift Tattoo

The couple had captured their journey to post online via an Instagram reel. The video has since gone viral for the hilarious mix-up that led to the misspelled tattoo. The ink that was supposed to read “Mine” in cursive came out looking like the word “Mime.” The Arkansas couple claims that they did not even notice the issue until they had gotten into their car to leave. Liz told the source that they had been in a hurry that day. However, when she finally looked at her new tattoo, Liz allegedly noticed right away.
While the couple isn’t too upset about the situation, some Instagram commenters were. One even said, “I’m getting irrationally angry.” Social media users were also quick to find ways to resolve the situation. Many seemed to believe the artist should fix it for free because they had not followed the stencil. However, it appears that others either think Liz should leave it or find another way to fix it.
When asked about the situation, Liz explained that she was not angry at the artist at all. “Do I think the artist intentionally messed it up? Absolutely not,” she said. Although she would continue by stating that she wished they had followed the stencil a little more closely. Swifties and Taylor Swift tattoos go hand in hand, it seems. However, can we blame Taylor’s fans? She is one of the most prominent music icons in recent times. However, as for the Arkansas couple, Liz may want to get that tattoo changed before Taylor goes on tour again.
