Arkham Knight is one of this year’s most hotly anticipated games. The runaway success of Rocksteady‘s Batman series has been remarkable. Thanks to it, DC has undisputed dominance over Marvel in the area of video games.

The original game (Arkham Asylum) wowed players with its combat, stealth and Batman: The Animated Series voice actors. Arkham City took the core gameplay and put into the titular sandbox setting. WB Games Montreal produced an excellent, if buggy, prequel with Arkham Origins.

‘My God… so many bugs’

But now RockSteady is back in the driving seat. The literal driving seat. Because we have been promised a drivable Bat-mobile and a wide open Gotham to drive it through. Of course one of the best things about the series is the return of voice actors from the animated series. This nineties series is one of the most fondly remembered cartoons of the Batman franchise. Kevin Conroy, in particular, is considered one of the best Batman voices in the franchise’s history.

So, the latest trailer released for Arkham Knight will interest many people. This is because it includes brief interviews with Kevin Conroy and other voice actors from the game. In it, they discuss their characters and what they go through in the game;

The information about the Scarecrow is very interesting. None of it is hugely new, but any information about him is welcome. One of the most fondly remembered features of Asylum were about him. Surviving the hallucinations brought on by his toxin was very fun. Apparently killed during Asylum, a hidden message found in City hinted at his return in the future. This makes his return as one of the villains of Arkham Knight very satisfying.

There are many people who want to be Batman. June will be a very good month for them. Arkham Knight comes out 23rd of June.
