Ash vs Evil Dead sticks to the winning formula.
When it was announced that cult classic Ash vs Evil Dead would become a TV series, there was much rejoicing. It’s set thirty years after the events of Evil Dead 1 &2 (and, unofficially, Army of Darkness).
Ash vs Evil Dead’s first season sees a fifty-year-old Ash return to action. After accidently unleashing another Deadite plague while high. The first season is made up of ten, half-hour episodes and the second season was greenlit before the first season began.
Season 2 is picking up where season 1 left off according to Comingsoon.net ;
“The second season roars back into action with Ash leaving his beloved Jacksonville and returning to his hometown of Elk Grove. There, he confronts Ruby. The former enemies have to form an uneasy alliance as Elk Grove soon becomes the nucleus of evil.”
This teaser’s point is to reassure fans that the show is going to keep giving them what they want. And what they want is more dark comedy and plenty of gore.
Viewers can see Ash vs Evil Dead when it returns to STARZ in October of this year.
