Assassin’s Creed Mirage Finally Gets New Game+ in an Update

New Game+ has finally come to Baghdad.

Over three months after it was released in October, Assassin’s Creed Mirage finally has New Game Plus. Ubisoft has released the latest in a line of bug fixes and patches for the game, finally giving players access to a New Game+ mode in a massive December update. This feature was one of the most-requested features missing from the game after it came out, with players complaining about the lack of replayability for Mirage‘s storyline and missions. Now, with Assassin’s Creed Mirage update 1.0.6, New Game+ has finally come to Basim and Baghdad.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage received mixed reviews after its release. The complaints had as much to do with bugs as it did with gameplay and Mirage’s storyline. While Assassin’s Creed Mirage was lauded as a “returns to the roots” of the AC series and a comeback after Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, fans quickly realized that the newest game wasn’t without its faults.

One of the most glaring absences from Mirage was it’s initial lack of a New Game+ mode that would add a way to replay the game. The new December update – the game’s largest to date – has finally added the feature. Players will now be able to access New Game+ from the game’s main menu or the pause menu. New Game+ players will also be given the option to skip the game’s prologue and begin with Basim already in Baghdad. Starting a New Game+ run also unlocks Basim’s Medjay Outfit from Assassin’s Creed Origins, which has three dyes to unlock in the game.

Aside from adding New Game+, the December update to Assassin’s Creed Mirage has rolled out fixes for various bugs in the audio, UI, and graphics of the game. Basim’s parkour has also been cleaned up, allowing the player to pull off smoother side and back-ejects. The full patch notes for update 1.0.6 can be found here.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is currently available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, Mac, and Amazon Luna.
