Ubisoft took no time to reveal their Assassin’s Creed Valhalla post-launch plans. They include a season pass and an exclusive quest. You will also have access to free content within the game. Ubisoft even announced a Discovery Tour, which will be an educational tool for players. There’s a lot to go over here, so let’s get started.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Season Pass Brings a Quest at Launch
The Season Pass will not only be seeing two new DLCs, but also an exclusive quest for those playing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Titled “The Legend of Beowulf”, this quest uncovers the monstrous truth behind the legend of Beowulf. This quest will be available on release day for all Season Pass owners.
Valhalla Expansion One – Wrath of Druids
The first expansion will be available in spring 2021. In this questline, players will journey to Ireland, focusing on unraveling the mysteries of a druidic cult. For those that enjoy folk stories, this quest will be just the thing you’re looking for. Diving into Gaelic Myths and folklore, you will fight your way through dazzling landscapes to bring truth to this druid cult. The questline reminds me of the cult mechanic within Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. If you enjoyed hunting down the cult of the Kosmos, this DLC has everything you could ask for.
Expansion Two – The Siege of Paris
The second expansion will be available in the summer of 2021. This expansion will be bringing players into the intense siege of Paris. While not giving too much detail on this expansion, Ubisoft had this to say:
players will have the chance to relive the most ambitious battle in Viking History with key historical figures of war-torn Frankia. During this key moment in history, players will infiltrate the fortified city of Paris and the River Seine under a prolonged siege, uncover enemy secrets, and form strategic alliances to safeguard their clan’s future.”
Will you bring salvation to the Vikings?
Don’t forget to keep an eye out as Ubisoft releases more info on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. While this is a lot of content, Ubisoft is making it clear that this isn’t all they have planned. They promise new settlements, Viking festivals, new abilities, and much more. Are you excited about the upcoming release? What are you hoping to see in the upcoming DLCs?
