Board members had just learned, as the meeting opened, that Beatty again prevailed in her case against him, and he responded with a tantrum: “It was the most unprofessional thing that I’ve ever witnessed,” she said. Trump went into name-calling, Beatty said, calling her “an obstructionist” and telling her she was “dumb.” “I think you’re incompetent,” he told her. “I know you’re incompetent,” she shot back.
She turned to the meeting’s chair and asked, “Are we really going to do this?” It was unprofessional, she said, but she “was not going to let him call me awful things.” Trump then warned he would hold her responsible if something fell from the ceiling and killed someone, according to Beatty. “You’re already killing people,” she told him. “We’re at war. We also have people who are starving.”
Trump went on to praise his record as a developer, Beatty said, suggesting she had never accomplished anything of her own. She reminded him “that he had more bankruptcies than anybody in the room,” adding that despite his position as chairman, “I was not going to let him bully me, intimidate me and the facts stand for himself.”
A second outburst came after the meeting ended, separate from the vote itself, Beatty said. She opposed the plan the board ultimately approved: “That is not what we voted on. It was nothing about immediately closing it.”

Cowers away every time like the a jellyfish.” A separate response predicted consequences for Trump: “This is the way. Keep doing this and he will stroke out.” Others turned their focus to Beatty’s home state: “OHIO! Celebrate your rep Joyce Beatty!”
Not every response embraced her account. One user was skeptical of her motives: “Whatever……. you don’t really believe she would say he put her in her place do you? She ran right to be interviewed.”
