I guess it’s time to start checking your to-go meals before leaving a restaurant to avoid having your appetite ruined later. One man in Atlanta says he wasn’t pleased with what he found in his order when he stopped by a Dairy Queen and ended up arguing with the manager about it.
In the TikTok video he shared, he showed that he had found a strand of hair in his burger, something you could easily miss if you didn’t look closely. When the customer confronted the manager, who was standing behind the counter, the latter allegedly wasn’t very cooperative. “The right thing for you to do would have been to give me some money back and give me something for free,” he told the manager. “But you’re trying to charge me for like a drink when I could have left without checking my food and there was hair in it.”
The customer also pointed his phone toward other diners and warned, “Hair in my food, y’all. So make sure y’all check your food because it was hair.” Turning back to the counter, he continued, “You could have been better than that. You could have gave me some free food. But you want to charge me. You want to be rude and stuff like that. And you didn’t have to do that. So now I’m recording you so that everybody can know not to come here.”
Before leaving, he pressed for a full refund. “Yeah, you gonna refund me. It was some funky fries you were trying to… Make sure you give me all my money,” he said as the manager finally returned his cash. The video ends with him saying, “Thank you so much. I appreciate you. Thank you,” and adding as he walked out, “Won’t be back to this one.”
What People Are Saying About the Atlanta Dairy Queen Incident
Some commenters were shocked by the manager’s reaction. “Charging you is crazy,” one person wrote, while another said, “Yep won’t be going.” A different viewer added, “You better than me. Ain’t no way you utter out yo mouth to hand over more money after hair was in my food smh.”
A few people poked fun at the chain itself. “That’s what you get for getting food at Dairy Queen 🤣,” one commenter joked. Another person thought the customer’s expectations were bold, writing, “Found hair in his food then turned around and said he should have gotten free food is diabolical 😳.”
