Being a dentist is not an easy job. One wrong move can mean permanent damage, chronic pain, or even someone losing their teeth altogether. That is why most people are taught to only trust licensed professionals with dental work and to stay far away from anyone who does not actually know what they are doing. Still, the internet has a way of encouraging risky behavior, and some people are willing to gamble their health for lower prices and viral promises. That gamble is now at the center of a growing controversy involving an Atlanta TikToker known as “Eyedobracess.” The Georgia-based creator has gone viral after posting videos that appear to show her installing braces on multiple people in a single day, despite having no known medical or orthodontic license. According to her own claims, she charged just $150 per client and completed braces for nine people in one day. The videos quickly spread across TikTok, drawing massive attention and causing outrage and serious concern.
Reaction videos from other TikTokers began flooding the platform almost immediately. Many viewers were stunned that anyone would attempt orthodontic work after taking what Eyedobracess reportedly described as a short, low-cost course. Critics questioned how a $150 class could possibly replace the years of schooling, training, and licensing required to become a dentist or orthodontist. The situation became even more alarming when allegations surfaced that the Atlanta TikToker may have been accepting EBT funds as payment.
As backlash grew, Eyedobracess posted a follow-up video defending herself. The TikToker brushed off the criticism, saying people act as if they have never seen unlicensed braces work before. She compared her services to going to an unlicensed nail tech or underground cosmetic procedures in places like Miami. That comparison only made things worse. Viewers quickly pointed out that chipped nails are not comparable to permanent dental damage, nerve pain, or tooth loss.
The situation escalated further when the Atlanta TikToker claimed that police had recently shown up at her home. While it is unclear whether that visit was directly tied to her braces business, the timing raised eyebrows. In Georgia, authorities have recently started cracking down on so-called veneer techs and braces techs, particularly in the Atlanta area. One well-known case involved Brandon Dillard, who was indicted on more than 100 charges, including racketeering, after allegedly teaching others to perform dental procedures in classes that sometimes lasted just a single day.
Online reactions remain split but intense. Some commenters were horrified. “Braces done incorrectly can literally make your TEETH FALL OUT. These people are insane,” one user wrote. Others were more skeptical, suggesting the Atlanta TikToker could be exaggerating or rage-baiting for attention. Still, many argued that whether it was fake or real did not matter. The possibility that someone could actually be performing dental work without training was enough to warrant concern.
