A woman in Atlanta has gone viral after recounting what she called the “worst first date” of her life, a story that included unexpected guests, unsettling revelations, and moments that left her questioning her safety. She shared the experience in a TikTok video, which quickly captured the attention of viewers who couldn’t believe the twists and turns.
In the clip, the woman explained that she grew up in a strict Jehovah’s Witness household and wasn’t allowed to date as a teenager. When she left the faith at 18, she decided to try online dating in an effort to catch up with her peers. She matched with a man on Bumble who, at the time, was in his early twenties, and they spent about a month talking on Discord while he introduced her to gaming.
The Date
Eventually, the two agreed to meet in person, with Cheesecake Factory set as the destination. However, just before the date, the man revealed that a friend visiting for his birthday would be joining them. He also admitted to having a sexual history with that same friend in college but said it only happened due to stress. Hmmmm. Anyway, despite her misgivings, the woman went ahead with the date.
When the car arrived to pick her up, she was stunned to find not only her date but several other men waiting inside. In total, four men were already in the car, and when they arrived at the Cheesecake Factory, a fifth climbed out of the trunk as part of a so-called “joke.” Her first date had apparently turned into a group outing.
Inside the restaurant, she struggled to keep up with their conversations as it felt like she was sitting through a birthday party for strangers. She recalled ordering pasta while her date enjoyed a steak, and when she tried to distract herself by making faces at a nearby baby, he responded by suggesting she would make “a good mother” for his children. The comment left her deeply uneasy.
Things didn’t improve after the meal. He asked her to split the check and then convinced her to join the group at his house for drinks. There, she met his mother and sat awkwardly as the men continued celebrating. At one point, she said, he forced an unwanted kiss on her, which she described as tasting of “steak and garlic.” Feeling increasingly unsafe, she eventually ordered a $50 Uber back to her home in Atlanta.
Looking back, she said the date was not only disturbing but also dangerous, acknowledging that being alone with five older men could have ended much worse. She admitted that her desperation for love at the time clouded her judgment, but added that the experience left her so shaken she avoided dating altogether for nearly two years.
