When it comes to arguing on the internet, things can spiral out of control very quickly. Some people jump straight into name-calling, while others lean on derogatory remarks. For one TikToker from Atlanta, Georgia, known as Q U E E N J A’ N E S E, she had no hesitation in putting her racism on full display. The drama began when she got into a spat with another creator, ishiniw. From the start, Q U E E N J A’ N E S E seemed to have a particular issue with ishiniw’s skin color. In a now-deleted video, she referred to ishiniw as “Ms. Hindu” even though ishiniw is Christian, and then mocked her intelligence by claiming she must have been “raised in a village,” despite the fact that ishiniw actually grew up in a city.
The Atlanta woman didn’t stop there. She went on to claim that ishiniw didn’t even understand her own skin color, then smugly held up a bottle of tanning lotion and said she had “purchased ishiniw’s color” herself. To top it off, she titled the video by describing ishiniw’s skin as “off-orange” instead of brown. Finally, she ended her rant with a threat: she would call ICE on ishiniw. What makes this even more absurd is that ishiniw is actually a Canadian citizen.
ishiniw didn’t stay quiet. She fired back, pointing out how bizarre it was that someone would weaponize ICE, an institution infamous for targeting people of color, against her. She also called out the Atlanta woman for displaying what she described as a kind of “Black supremacy,” where she looked down on other people of color and acted as if African Americans were the only ones who could claim the label “brown.”
Another TikToker, krazy4e2, also stepped into the conversation, criticizing Q U E E N J A’ N E S E’s behavior. She asked why this woman thought it was acceptable to harass a Canadian with empty ICE threats, when the logic behind it made no sense at all.
Despite all the backlash, Q U E E N J A’ N E S E doubled down. She continued to call ishiniw “Hindu” and even claimed she had reported her to ICE, completely ignoring the fact that ishiniw lives in Canada. Many internet users were both baffled and irritated by the display, with several mocking her ignorance. “Average ICE supporter IQ,” one person wrote.
Others used the situation to point out a bigger truth: anyone, regardless of skin color, can be racist. Some even criticized her for believing that she herself would never be targeted by ICE. As one user put it: “It pains me how my people think that ICE won’t take us too. They’re confused about how much this country truly wants us gone.”
