Another month and another set of PS Plus games will soon be made available on the PlayStation. Coming off the 3 game haul from July, many fans were beginning to wonder what we’ll be treated too in August. Well, wonder no more, as Sony has announced the showing for PS Plus in August.
This time, the games are pretty exciting, as long as you don’t own them of course.
Without further ado, the PS Plus games for August are Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered and Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout.
If you haven’t heard of these (one in particular) Sony has also released a nice synopsis for both games to whet your appetites:
For Call of Duty they said the following:
“Following immediately on from the dramatic events of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered immerses you in a gripping, action-driven adventure in which you must face off against a deadly new threat hellbent on bringing the world to the brink of collapse. The single-player campaign has been fully remastered with improved textures, animations, physically based rendering, high-dynamic range lighting, and much more.”
Whereas for Fall Guys, they said this:
“Survive a series of hilarious challenges until one victor remains in this colorful 60-person online multiplayer party game! Test your mettle in brutal free-for-alls or co-op challenges where only the winning team advances to the next round.”
At least that’s the abbreviated version if you want more, head over to the PlayStation blog.
The good news is that Call of Duty is available to download slightly earlier than usual, in fact, it will be available from tomorrow. You’ll have to wait a bit for Fall Guys though, as that won’t be ready until the usual time, in this case, August 4th. Both games will be available until the 31st of next month.
That’s not all, as, for those without PS Plus, there will be another free multiplayer weekend on August 8th and 9th.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of PS Plus it’s been quite the season of goodwill from Sony as there are reports certain users have been receiving free credit. Unfortunately, I wasn’t one of them, not that I’m bitter.
Be sure to let us know your thoughts on the latest PS Plus games in the comments and we are always happy to hear what you want to see made available in September.
