Shortly after the verdict in Sean Diddy Combs‘s trial was read, fans outside the courthouse celebrated the rapper’s victory by mocking one of the allegations against him, the freak offs!
A now-viral video on Instagram showed a hyped crowd gathered outside the courthouse in New York cheering the rapper’s win. A shirtless, muscular man was at the center of the crowd, jumping and screaming excitedly. Others began rubbing baby oil on his body, seemingly referencing the baby oil linked to Diddy’s alleged freak-offs.
Joyful shouts echoed from the crowd, and someone was heard saying, “I told you!” In no time, a woman in a blue wig, wearing only a bra and revealing shorts, started screaming, “I want the baby oil.”
Another man from the audience, wearing a fedora hat, happily granted her request as he poured the oil on her half-naked body. While the man doused the oil on the woman’s body, she took off her wig and started dancing seductively, not minding that her breasts were dangerously exposed.
The strange celebration from the rapper’s fans outside the courthouse has drawn criticism from internet users. This netizen condemned the celebration, writing, “Sick Society. Everything is a joke until it happens to you or a loved one. SMH”
A second social media user pointed out that the celebration was “so disrespectful to the victims.” Another person compared it to a scene from a movie. “This is like an episode of The Boondocks,” the user remarked. “Very weird behavior,” a fourth individual condemned.
Sean Diddy Combs To Face Sentencing For Other Charges Against Him
Although the music mogul was cleared of the charges of racketeering and sex trafficking, he was found guilty on the charges of transportation for prostitution. As we earlier reported, the jury determined that there was insufficient evidence to support convictions on the charges of sex trafficking.
The jury’s verdict has since sparked an uproar on social media, with some users claiming the jury was biased. “This just speaks to how unlawful the law is,” one user argued. Another person added, “That Diddy verdict doesn’t even make sense. How are you not guilty of sex trafficking but guilty of prostitution transportation?”
The U.S Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, which prosecuted the case, issued a statement highlighting the harms of sex crimes on the victims. However, the office pointedly did not address the outcome of the trial.
The disgraced rapper awaits his sentencing for the charges he was found guilty of. As for his fans outside the courthouse, a baby-oil celebration was highly unnecessary!
