NetEase Games‘ newest mobile shooter, Badlanders, has entered its open beta testing phase after a successful closed beta run. The announcement of the phase comes with new female characters and customizable options, along with Halloween-themed activities coming around the corner.
Shoot, Loot, Then Make A Profit
The fresh looter shooter aims to bring about a different experience to the mobile FPS genre; with a weapon enhancing mechanic that allows the player to customize their gathered arsenal to increase their chances of survival. 25 Badlanders enter the battlefield with tasks of their agenda, taking on enemies throughout the land while modifying their armaments.
One of Badlanders‘ key features is its economy system. From the collected supplements and firearms that players discover in Badlanders, they can trade anything in their inventory through the game’s “carefully crafted eco-system“. The self-designed weapons that players create are tradable, as well as the in-game items that can be purchased.
Badlanders‘ Sudden Popularity
Badlanders has amassed over 5 million players worldwide ever since its closed beta testing (CBT) phase that began on September 30. The original CBT for Badlanders was available in a few Southeast Asia regions. Now, the game is open for universal testing gameplay for Android and iOS devices (except for Belgium, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Mainland China – open beta testing for South Korea will only be playable on iOS).
Starting now until October 30, players who log into the game’s servers will receive exclusive benefits that come in four tiers:
500 K Pre-Reg: Combat Pack (AK + three-level Armour) in Helmet (AK & LV. 3 Helmet)
1 Million Pre-Reg: Scope Pack Set
3 Million Pre-Reg: 8888 In-Game Cash & Exclusive Avatar: Warriors Assemble
5 Million Pre-Reg: Reaper T-Shirt
Badlanders will be constantly updated throughout the phase, with announcements being posted on their Facebook page. Giveaways are also in session for those who participate in social media sharing.
