Banner Saga 3 Announced Through Kickstarter

If this year wasn’t full of enough RPG’s already (e.g. Horizon: Zero Dawn, Mass Effect Andromeda, Persona 5, South Park: The Fractured but Whole) it sure is now. Developer Stoic has announced that work is underway on the climatic conclusion to the Banner Saga Trilogy.

Launching a Kickstarter with a goal of $200,000 USD, the team highlighted the size and nature of their relatively small Indie studio and its successful crowdfunding lineage. The Banner Saga 3 continues the tale of clans of Viking-like travelers, crossing the land in large caravans looking for safety and solitude. The role playing/ turn based strategy mechanics, mesmerizing hand drawn art style and far reaching choice sensitive consequences will all be making a return to the series. However the developers hope to bring bigger boss battles and a more endearing story to its final chapter. Stoic is reaching out to crowdfunders as they are currently acquiring no source of outside funding and are offering numerous awards (All tiers viewable below) , some of which including the first two games in the series. For now the game is only available on PC and Mac. The estimated delivery for most tiers are December 2018.
