According to People Magazine, Barack and Michelle Obama looked stunning as they were spotted spending some quality time together for a glam date night at the Lowell Hotel in New York City. The 44th President of the United States looked dapper in an all-black suit and dress shoes.
Meanwhile, the former First Lady went full glam in a matching black dress with fringe ruffles. She sported black heels and rocked large earrings and chunky bracelets for the occasion. She also carried a black clutch. Michelle smiled brightly as she was ushered to the couple’s car following the date.
The Obama divorce rumors started when Michelle opted to skip Donald Trump’s inauguration in January. That same month, she also decided not to attend the funeral of former President Jimmy Carter. Her decision to shy away from the political events raised eyebrows. However, she later explained that she gained a new outlook on life after her time in the White House.
Obama Divorce Rumors Take Back Seat As Barack and Michelle Get Glam For Date Night
As far as the speculation about her marriage, Michelle recently opened up about her relationship with Barack during an interview on Steven Bartlett’s podcast. She revealed that if the pair were going to divorce, “everybody would know.”
Instead, Michelle says that her marriage is stable because she and Barack won’t give up on their relationship.
“The beauty of my husband and our partnership is that neither one of us was really ever gonna quit at it, ’cause that’s not who we are,” she said. “And I know that about him. He knows that about me,” she added.
