On Sunday, September 25, Basketball Wives’ Brooke Bailey confirmed her daughter’s passing. She did so by sharing a carousel of the late Kayla’s pictures alongside the emotional caption:
“Forever my baby, Pretty Black aka Kayla Nicole Bailey ??? This is not a goodbye. Mommy will see you soon ??.”
Love And Support For Basketball Wives’ Brooke Bailey
Many of Brooke’s friends and fans reacted to her post by showing her love and support. Female rapper Nicki Minaj commented with seven broken heart emojis. Brooke’s Basketball Wives co-star, Brandi Maxiell, commented wrote:
“RIP Kayla ? we luv you baby girl!!! I love you so much Brooke!!! You are so strong and continue to trust in God to carry you through this storm sis!!! We are all here for you and your family ???.”
DJ Duffey also reassured Brooke of her friends’ love for her, adding that they would lift her up in prayer during this difficult time. Many more of Brooke’s friends took turns to console and support her in the post’s comment section.
Brooke Appreciates The Support
Seeing the love and support that came her way following her daughter’s passing, Brooke took the time to appreciate her well-wishers. She took to her Instagram Story and wrote:
“My baby girl is so Loved by all of youuuuu!!! The love and support my family has received today is unreal and so appreciated.”
Brooke thanked everyone and noted that Kayla left a mark on many people’s lives. The bereaved mom also said that her daughter entered a room and demanded respect, love, and attention. She concluded:
“If you had the pleasure of meeting her and being friends with her she has forever changed your life.”
In another Instagram Story post, Basketball Wives’ Brooke Bailey said she wasn’t prepared for her daughter’s death. However, she expressed gratitude to God for the 25 years He blessed her to have Kayla. She also noted that Kayla was her happiness on earth.
Following Brooke Bailey’s daughter Kayla’s death at 25, one can only wish the reality TV star the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
