Batman v Superman was a hugely polarising movie, to say the least, but one thing that everyone can agree on is that it was also a very long movie. With a theatrical runtime of one hundred and fifty-one minutes, it was a difficult movie to watch in one sitting if you’d guzzled your drink too early into the showing. So it is incredible that Batman v Superman Ultimate Edition has a wealth of footage that wasn’t seen in cinemas;

According to Collider.com,
“The extended cut not only features brand new footage, but also entirely new characters that didn’t appear in the theatrical cut of the film, like Jena Malone’s mystery role. It runs 182 minutes in length and is Rated R for sequences of violence. The Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, and Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack all feature both the theatrical and Ultimate Edition versions, while the DVD only includes the theatrical version of the film.”
Also included in the Ultimate Edition are eleven separate special features including ‘uniting the world’s finest’ and ‘Superman: Complexity and truth’. Plus, the Blu-ray discs have had their sound remastered specifically for home viewing. Batman v Superman (theatrical and ultimate versions) will be available via Digital HD on June 28th and will be physically released on July 19th.
