Having bad neighbors is the literal worst, especially those who seem to hate you for little to no reason. At Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a black woman captured her white neighbor yelling into her doorbell camera and making incredibly discriminatory statements. The video was downloaded and posted to the internet, garnering thousands of views, making her an infamous internet celebrity overnight. Now that the video has gone viral, the black woman decided to show her harasser just how well-known she’s going to become. I’m sure she’ll think twice the next time she chooses to be hateful when she thinks no one is watching.
The above video, posted to a TikTok account named @its.zavia, is actually the aftermath of what happened. According to the comments and other videos on the account, a woman by the name of Allison Thompson had been verbally harassing her for a while, making comments directed at the victim’s Ring door camera on the Louisiana State University campus. This is the video in particular that went viral, showing Thompson very clearly yelling, “Black people’s culture is [expletive] up.” Of course, the situation wasn’t isolated, and @its.zavia has several videos detailing Thompson’s racism.
In that same video, Thompson is accompanied by a friend who does nothing to stop her. In fact, that friend can be seen laughing at her actions, as though agreeing with them herself. After this, the police were called and made their way to the neighbor’s house because the proof was all on video. Fortunately, the officer who was in charge also took the matter very seriously and was recorded scolding Thompson and her roommates.
In the above video, which shows @its.zavia showing Allison Thompson that the video went viral, you can see in the latter’s body language that she hadn’t expected things to escalate to this point. Famous model Julia Fox commented on this particular detail, saying, “Hahaha love the switch up.” I don’t really know what she was expecting, especially after being so confident in her racism.
In fact, she tries to justify her words by saying she was talking about everyone in Baton Rouge, not just black people. However, the population living in Baton Rouge is predominantly black, so there’s no way she didn’t mean what we all know she did. Hopefully, either Louisiana State University or even Thompson herself will respond with what the next set of actions is going to be now that the police are involved.
