Battlefield 2042 is roughly a month and a half away from launch, with fans of the series and newcomers alike excited to see what its semi-futuristic battles bring to the table. There’s a lot of great stuff coming, including powerful natural disasters to truly shake things up. That’s not to mention the already tight gameplay, which is seeing a major refinement with the upcoming entry. With so much to explore and take part in though, you may be wondering if your system can handle a game like it. No need to worry as today, the team is giving us just that. Without further adieu, here are the PC system requirements for Battlefield 2042!

The requirements are taken from the above tweet.

Minimum Requirements

  • OS: 64-Bit Windows 10
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 / Intel i5 6600K
  • Memory: 8GB
  • Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti / AMD Radeon RX 560
  • DirectX: 12
  • Hard-Drive Space: 100GB

Recommended Requirements

  • OS: 64-Bit Windows 10
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X / Intel i7 4790
  • Memory: 16GB
  • Graphics Card: NVIDIA RTX 3060 / AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT
  • DirectX: 12
  • Hard-Drive Space: 100GB SSD

I have to say, I’m a bit surprised by just how high the recommended specs are here. I understand Battlefield 2042 is a brand new game that’s utilizing the hardware of the new console generation, but the new PC I just bought only goes a bit above the recommended requirements, let alone other areas. Mind you, the team is no doubt highballing it here with these requirements, but that’s still insane to think about. All I can say is thank god I did get a new one. My poor fourth-gen i5 would’ve been unable to hold up against a titan like this.

I’m excited about how beautiful Battlefield 2042 will look if its PC system requirements are too high. What are your thoughts though, do you believe this is reasonable? Let me know in the comments below!
