Bella Hadid is being named the people’s princess over her latest fan interaction. The model made a surprise appearance at Ulta Beauty World over the weekend to promote her skincare brand, Orebella. During the event, Hadid took the time to sign autographs for several lucky fans. The line for her meet and greet got so long that her staff was eventually forced to turn people away due to time constraints. Despite this, she made an exception to chat with one person: Michael Ahmad, a Palestinian fan.
Bella Hadid and Michael Ahmad Meet at Ulta Beauty World
Bella Hadid and Michael Ahmad’s interaction was emotional. In a video shared on Ahmad’s TikTok, the pair could be seen sharing an intimate embrace at Hadid’s Orebella booth. The Palestinian fan, who goes by the Bearded Beauty online, appeared visibly moved getting to meet the model. His hands were shaking, and he had tears in his eyes while whispering something to her. In response, Hadid comforted Ahmad by gently caressing his head.
Following their embrace, the two continued to exchange kind words with each other. Hadid also kept comforting Ahmad by patting his chest, kissing his cheeks, and wiping away his tears.
Only a part of their conversation could be heard in the video due to all of the commotion at the event. Luckily for us, Ahmad revealed what the two talked about in his caption on TikTok. “I thanked her for her tireless advocacy for Palestine and our people,” he wrote. “She comforted me, wiped my tears, and reassured me that we always find our way to the light.”
Their Emotional Exchange Almost Didn’t Happen
More details about Bella Hadid and Michael Ahmad’s interaction were revealed on Instagram. While sharing photos of their exchange on his profile, Ahmad said that he almost didn’t get the chance to meet Hadid. Her staff had already capped the line to meet her by the time he arrived at the Orebella booth. Since he still wanted to find a way to show appreciation for her advocacy work, Ahmad decided to write a message for her on a piece of cardboard. “I am Palestinian. Thank you for all you do for our people,” his sign read.
Ahmad said he simply wanted to “express my gratitude” toward the star. After seeing his sign, however, Hadid stopped what she was doing to go and hug him. “I immediately fell apart,” Ahmad said, explaining that he got emotional over recalling everything his people have experienced over the years, including his own memories “of searching for missing family members” and “losing his mother and father.”
Despite getting overwhelmed, Ahmad managed to thank Hadid for using her platform to advocate for the Palestinian people. In turn, she reminded Ahmad that their people are “resilient.”
Bella Hadid and Michael Ahmad’s exchange at Ulta Beauty World has gone viral. Fans couldn’t help but get emotional seeing how the two connected over their love of Palestine. “This sent chills down my body,” one person said. “Now I’m crying with u thanks,” another wrote. “She really is the people’s princess,” read another comment.
Hadid has been a vocal supporter of Palestinian rights online. Last year, she and her sister, Gigi Hadid, even donated $1 million to support Palestinian relief efforts amid the conflict in Gaza. Their contribution was divided among four organizations: Heal Palestine, Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, World Central Kitchen, and United Nations Relief and Works Agency.
