The pair are still good friends as they co-parent their three children, Violet, Fin, and Samuel, together. However, they’ve recently gotten even closer as their bond has seemingly grown following the actor’s divorce from Jennifer Lopez. Now that JLo is out of the picture, the former spouses are certainly raising eyebrows about the state of their relationship.
According to a report by Page Six, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have been leaning on each other for support. Recent stressful circumstances have led Ben and Jen to grow closer. Sources reveal that Affleck’s divorce from Jennifer Lopez and the fear of losing their homes in the LA fires have brought them together.
“[They] are closer than they’ve ever been since their divorce,” an insider dished. “[They] have found themselves leaning on each other more than ever. Things between Ben and Jen were understandably rocky for a little while when they first divorced. They shared custody and were amicable when it came to situations involving their kids but over the years they’ve really built a close friendship and are on the same page in a lot of ways.”

Fans can’t help but notice how close Affleck and Garner have become in the years since their divorce. Not only do they often look happy when they are spending time together, but they also go on family outings. On Christmas, the Batman star joined Garner and their kids for dinner. Before that, they volunteered and gave out meals to the less fortunate.
Garner and Affleck tied the knot in 2005, just two years after the actor called off his first engagement to Lopez. The pair were married for ten years before calling it quits in 2015. In 2021, Affleck reunited with JLo, and the pair married in 2022. Lopez filed for divorce just two years later, in August 2024.
Even through his marriage to Lopez, Affleck remained very close to Garner. It was previously reported that JLo felt uncomfortable with how close the exes were at times. However, it seems that they have an unshakable bond. Garner was even there for Affleck while he dealt with alcohol abuse issues. She drove her ex to rehab and has been said to have been intricate in helping him stay sober in the years since his treatment (via People).

Despite the fact that Garner has been dating John Miller for years, many fans are still hoping that she and Affleck will find their way back to each other.
