Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were once one of the most popular couples in Hollywood. However, after a decade of marriage and three children together, the pair called it quits. Affleck went on to have a whirlwind reunion with his former fiancée, Jennifer Lopez. Ben and JLo tied the knot in 2021, but filed for divorce just two years later. Meanwhile, Garner took her time and cultivated a long-term relationship with her current boyfriend, John Miller. Unfortunately, he allegedly doesn’t have Affleck’s seal of approval.
According to Shuter Scoop, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner remain very friendly exes. They not only co-parent their children, Violet, Finn, and Samuel, together, but they also seem to genuinely like one another. However, the same can’t be said for Ben’s relationship with John Miller. The Batman actor allegedly doesn’t care for Garner’s current beau.
“Ben doesn’t get it,” says one source. “He’s constantly asking, ‘That guy? Really?’” a source told entertainment reporter Rob Shuter. “He still thinks he’s the main character in Jen’s life,” says the insider. “Seeing her build a calm, normal life with someone who isn’t a celebrity — it drives him nuts.”

Shuter goes on to reveal that Miller appears to be the total opposite of Affleck. He’s not famous, he doesn’t seem to care about red carpets, fashion events, and rarely makes any headlines.
“He’s everything Ben’s not — and that’s what Jen wants now,” the informant dished, claiming that Ben aften teases John by referring to him as “soft” and “vanilla.”
“Ben’s used to being the most captivating guy in any room,” the insider says. “But John makes him feel… unnecessary,” the source added.
While Ben Affleck may be a famous A-lister, he’s certainly had his ups and downs. Following his divorce from Jennifer Garner, he had a stint in rehab for alcohol abuse issues. Of course, his recent marriage and split with JLo left him in the headlines nearly every day. Now that things have calmed down in his life, could he be missing the spotlight a bit?
Seeing Garner and Miller’s seemingly peaceful life together, Affleck might be realizing what he lost when he split with the mother of his children. However, fans are happy that Jen seems to have found someone who gives her stability and calm.
Whether or not Ben Affleck likes John Miller doesn’t seem to matter to Jennifer Garner. The two appear to be going strong, and it looks like nothing is going to hold them down.
