Ben Stiller Shares That He And Adam Sandler Always Get Mistaken For Each Other

Ben Stiller and Adam Sandler always get mistaken for each other by fans. In addition to Ben and Adam’s friendship, it seems they also look alike as they get confused about each other. Find out what Ben said about it. 

Ben Stiller And Adam Sandler Celebrate Adam Sandler’s Award 

In honor of Ben and Adam’s friendship, the duo turned up for Adam on Sunday. 

Ben Stiller and Adam Sandler were at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. The pair came to celebrate Adam, who got an award last night. 

Ben was happy to felicitate his longtime friend, who received the 24th Annual Mark Twain Prize For American Humor. Ben spoke with ET before the star-studded ceremony started about his presence there to show Adam some love. He also talked about how close he feels to his fellow comic star.

“I’m just very proud and happy for Adam,” the Night at the Museum star shared. He added that his friend is talented and deserved the award he received. He further shared that Adam is a “great human being.”

Ben Stiller Reveals He Gets Confused with Adam Sandler 

While talking to the news outlet, the Meet the Parents actor joked that he and Adam Sandler get mistaken for each other all the time. He revealed that he and the Hustle actor send each other videos of people confusing them for the other person. 

“So, just like, in life, it’s always like, ‘Yo, Sandler!’ So we’re like sending each other videos of people like going like, ‘Hey, Adam, I love you. Thank you!'”

Ben also shared his feelings about Adam and the actor’s qualities. Ben Stiller and Adam Sandler have been friends for a while, so the former had a lot to say. 

The Zoolander star praised Adam saying his “true self” shines through his work. Ben opined that Adam bares himself through his comedy which helps people appreciate and connect with him. 

The Tropic Thunder actor also reflected on some of his friend’s best qualities, sharing, “He’s very generous. He’s very sensitive guy.”

“He’s also just like, you know, he reaches out so much to his fellow actors and friends. He’s very supportive,” Ben added. “It’s just who he is, [and] that’s one of the things I love about him. 

Ben and Adam’s friendship started when they first collaborated on 1996’s Happy Gilmore. Ben had a small but memorable role as a sadistic nursing home orderly in the movie. Afterward, they worked alongside each other on several projects. Hopefully, the pair will continue to be friends.
