  • Mule Kick
  • Juggernog
  • Speed Cola
  • Vulture Aid
  • Double Tap
  • Elemental Pop
  • Wisp Tea
  • Fire Works
  • Brain Rot
  • Shadow Rift
  • Aether Shroud
  • Toxic Growth

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies has expanded the augments across all equipment, making it a crucial choice to pick the best augment for the right perk, field upgrade, and ammo mod. But it takes your life’s essence to fully research every single augment in the game, and that’s why we’ve listed the ones worthy of your time and effort that really do change your game for good.

Mule Kick

  • Major: Multi Pack or Pack Mule
  • Minor 1: Fully Equipped
  • Minor 2: Kick Back

Mule Kick is a must-have in Black Ops 7 Zombies since the game’s been harder this year with all the Relics and nerfs that change the rules of dancing with the undead. Having 1 Wonder Weapon and 2 fully Pack-A-Punched weapons is absolute cinema, but you can carry more ammo for all those weapons with the Multi Pack major augment! Or, you can Pack-A-Punch your secondary and third weapons for free with the Pack Mule major.

Researching Mule Kick to the maximum standard unlocks the ability to carry the Fully Equipped minor augment that allows for having 1+ lethal and tactical equipment, and get a big discount on buying perks with Kick Back! Buy Mule Kick first in the game, and buy the other ones cheaper while carrying an extra Monkey Bomb; BIG W!

Juggernog

  • Major: Probiotic
  • Minor 1: Hardened Plates
  • Minor 2: Durable Plates

If you hate armor plates like me, then you probably go for the Golden Armor all the time in the Cursed Mode. But did you know that you can significantly increase your armor’s durability in Black Ops 7 Zombies with 2 minor augments of Juggernog? Hardened Plates and Durable Plates combined really do make one big tank surrounded by the undead! As Dempsey puts it: “Tank by name, Tank by nature.”

As for the major augment, most players go for the Reactive Armor as it’d stun the nearby enemies once your armor breaks. But, you can’t stun an elite on rounds 60+ or in boss fights when the big baddy can one-tap you without your precious armor. That’s why the Probiotic major augment’s offer of 300HP is just better to prevent that from happening.

Speed Cola

  • Major: Supercharged or Classic Formula
  • Minor 1: Fast Pitcher
  • Minor 2: Prestidigitation

Classic Formula for “even faster” reload? Take my money! But another major augment you should consider for the Speed Cola perk is Supercharged. Aether Shroud is needed for many easter eggs in Black Ops 7 Zombies, and so are the other field upgrades, which can be charged way faster with this major augment.

Now, have you ever died while cooking a Monkey Bomb or Kazimir Grenade? That’s because it takes time before you can deploy the equipment in the game, and the Fast Pitcher can make that super fast. Put Prestidigitation beside that as your second minor augment, and you can have the chance of earning a free mag when reloading!

Vulture Aid

  • Major: Armor Matic
  • Minor 1: Condor’s Reach
  • Minor 2: Picky Eater

If Golden Armor doesn’t remove your hatred of still having to plate up in modern Call of Duty Zombies, then I believe that Vulture Aid’s Armor Matic can help with that. This major augment will automatically fill your armor with the ground loot available as you walk past it. Superb!

Can’t focus on walking over the loot on the ground while in combat? Well, Condor’s Reach is defined to fix that for ya! Also, if you’re carrying Monkey Bombs and Kazimir Grenades, make sure you put the Picky Eater second minor augment on your Vulture Aid perk so that you have a chance of earning that same equipment while you’re slaying the undead.

Double Tap

  • Major: Double Standard
  • Minor 1: Double Time
  • Minor 2: Double Down

Everything double is just as good as it sounds, and so is the Double Standard major augment, as it’d allow for double damage on all your non-critical hits! Game changer it is, as you can’t always focus on popping the zombies’ heads when they’re running in crowds for their evening meal.

Speaking of crowds, you can increase the bullet penetration of your guns with the Double Down minor augment, saving your ammo for another horde. But if the undead audience is attracted big time and you want that extra kick of the weapon, Double Time will increase fire rate even more.

Elemental Pop

  • Major: Citrus Focus
  • Minor 1: Vulnera Bean
  • Minor 2: Chill Berry

You’ve equipped an ammo mod, and it doesn’t proc that often. What’s the solution to that? Well, you can research the Elemental Pop perk and let the Citrus Focus major augment to always favor your precious ammo mod whenever the elements pop! This augment proves more useful when you’re completing challenges like the Bus Relic in Ashes of the Damned Cursed Mode.

2 minor augments to boost the effectiveness of the Elemental Pop perk in Black Ops 7 Zombies: Vulnera Bean for more elemental weakness damage to the special and elite targets, and Chill Berry for reducing all ammo mod cooldowns.

Wisp Tea

  • Major: Mask of Distraction
  • Minor 1: Zombie Sitter
  • Minor 2: Haste

“Wisp tea, drink it down with a galaxy.” The jingle has nothing to do with the functionality of this Perk-A-Cola; however, it does come with some of the best augments in all of Black Ops 7 Zombies. It’s got different masks, for example, allowing the wisp to operate with a variety of options: attacking, defending, or even working as a Monkey Bomb with the Mask of Distraction major augment!

Now the Zombie Sitter minor augment is probably your best friend, especially if you’re a solo player. As the name suggests, the wisp will attract the last zombie and doesn’t kill it until the round timer runs out. Super helpful for the easter eggs. Want more wisps in your game? Then make sure you equip the Haste second minor augment for faster cooldown!

Fire Works

  • Major: Big Game
  • Minor 1: Big Bang
  • Minor 2: Short Fuse

Fire Works might be new among the ammo mods in CoD Zombies, but it’s probably the deadliest. Upon activation, a fireworks show begins, insta-killing the enemies within range. Now you can have an even deadlier light show with the Big Game augment, butchering the Zursa bear and other elite/special enemies upon activation.

This ammo mod is the best against the bigger threats in the Dark Aether, but to make sure that bear gets buried alongside its honey, you can use the Big Bang minor augment. This upgrade makes Fire Works flares deal more damage to the elite targets, completing what you started with the Big Game major augment. As always with the ammo mods, short cooldown times are king, and Short Fuse does just that.

Brain Rot

  • Major: Plague
  • Minor 1: Super Serum
  • Minor 2: Haste

If zombies are too strong to kill on high rounds and trials, then how about turning them against their own? Brain Rot is an underrated ammo mod in the modern era of Call of Duty Zombies, and I’m happy that the Black Ops 7 augments are giving it the recognition it deserves. For example, the Plague major augments help build an undead army by allowing the turned zombie to make new friends.

Now we don’t want an undead soldier that can’t kill a single foe, do we? The Super Serum minor augment is the right call for making OP zombie friends that kill the enemies by only one wrestling move we know and love: Clothesline. And to make more of these super undead soldiers, Haste minor augment helps with ammo mod’s faster cooldown time.

Shadow Rift

  • Major: Gravity Well
  • Minor 1: Supermassive
  • Minor 2: Haste

With no pesky Mimics around, Kazimir Grenades are the survivor’s best friend against the undead threats. However, 1,500 salvage is too much for a one-time use item, and finding Kazimir isn’t like searching for cotton candy. But did you know that the Shadow Rift ammo mod can kind of do the same thing that Kazimir does with one major augment?

Instead of only teleporting zombies, the Gravity Well major augment makes the Shadow Rift ammo mod create a black hole that sucks zombies in! Run it with Supermassive minor augment to kill more zombies and add Haste to the flavor to get more free Kazimir Grenades! Who would’ve thought that Shadow Rift would become one of the best ammo mods one day?

Aether Shroud

Best Aether Shroud Augments

  • Major: Group Shroud or Afterimage (Solo)
  • Minor 1: Extra Charge
  • Minor 2: Extension

Aether Shroud is definitely the most used field upgrade of the recent Call of Duty Zombies games. Whether you’re doing an easter egg step or you just want to check something out on the map without that last annoying zombie bothering you, Aether Shroud’s cloak is the go-to. But with the Group Shroud, you can make anyone who’s near you get under the same cloak. Talk about a perfect escape strategy.

But you might be solo, and the Group Shroud major augment is no use for you. That’s where Afterimage comes in, creating a clone of yourself to distract all nearby zombies. Have 2 of these on your field upgrade slot with the Extra Charge and extend your time under the cloak by the Extension minor augment.

Toxic Growth

  • Major: Cordyception
  • Minor 1: Green Thumb
  • Minor 2: Extra Charge

Toxic Growth is the new field upgrade in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies, and you can make it work as a Brain Rot ammo mod using the Cordyception major augment. Turning an enemy that sets foot inside and killing the others after, well, W!

Toxic Growth is mainly used for obtaining Aether Pack-A-Punch crystals early in the game, but you can only use the effect for a few runs until you can deploy another. However, with the Green Thumb minor augment, the plant’s health is significantly increased, and you can carry 2 of these bad boys with the Extra Charge.
