Dead by Daylight: Best Counters to the Huntress
The first thing you want to make sure you do is Break the Line of Sight that The Huntress has on you. As long as she can see you, she can successfully land a Hunting Hatchet attack on you. That being said, if the Huntress is chasing after you, ensure you duck between obstacles as often as you can and keep her line of sight off you at all costs. You can do this by running along long walls, weaving between trees, and crouching behind rocks.
The next thing you want to make sure you do is Stay Out of the Open. Assuming The Huntress has a decent aim, she can throw her Hunting Hatchets from one end of the map all the way to the opposite end. Make sure any time you are playing against the Huntress, you never run out in the open. Even if it doesn’t seem like she’s nearby, all she needs to do is catch a glimpse of you, and she can take you down easily. However, if you hear the Huntress’s lullaby anywhere near you, ensure you don’t go out into the open, as she is close by.
The third and final thing you must do is avoid being Predictable. If you’re consistently making the same movements, following the same paths, and trying to avoid the Huntress in the same ways, it won’t be long before she catches onto your methods. Once the Huntress can predict your movements, it won; ‘t be long before she can counter them and take you down anyway.
