Get your wallets ready: yet another Steam sale is upon us! The 2017 Steam Halloween Sale features all sorts of discounts on horror games, including VR titles. There are also pretty big discounts on plenty of horror films, with many scary movies receiving discounts in the range of forty to sixty percent off.
Although the Steam Halloween Sale is not quite the same magnitude as the two big seasonal sales that happen every year, there are some pretty solid discounts on good games. This is especially true if you like your PC games to creep you out. Check out a few of the better deals you can score below:
- Dead by Daylight – $9.99 (50% off) – Friday the 13th is also half off, but still costs twice as much as its asymmetrical horror brother. Plus, Dead By Daylight has Leatherface, Michael Myers, and Freddy Krueger in the mix. If you want to feel like you’re a part of a slasher flick, either one of these titles can scratch that itch.
- Darkest Dungeon: Ancestral Edition – $23.36 (52% off) – This tough as nails roguelike features one of the best gaming voiceovers ever, and it is a deep and strategic RPG as well. The Ancestral Edition comes with the Crimson Court DLC, which is well worth your money.
- Alien Isolation – $11.99 (70% off) – If you somehow haven’t picked this one up yet, here you go. Being stalked by a murderous creature aboard a derelict spaceship has never been so fun.
- Limbo – $1.49 (85% off) – Short, dark, and deeply unsettling. If you haven’t taken a stab at this creepy puzzle platformer, here’s your chance.
- Doom (2016) – $20.09 (33% off) – Go back to hell with this excellent reimagining of the granddaddy of first person shooters.
There are many more great games available during the Steam Halloween Sale as well, including Amnesia, Inside, Prey, Night in the Woods, and many more. The sale runs through 10 AM PST on November 1, so make sure you make your decisions quickly. You can view all sale items here.
