Back when the conversion kits were not a thing in MW2, Infinity Ward would’ve released another identical weapon to an existing one just to play with the stats a little bit. We have Lachman Sub/Shroud, and of course the ISO 45 alongside its smaller counterpart, the ISO 9mm. Surprisingly enough, the ISO 9mm SMG isn’t a total waste to use in Warzone and MW3 Season 5 in your best loadouts right now. If you’re tired of the meta and want to test something new, this gun with this build is a go-to.
Best ISO 9mm Loadout
- Barrel: 9″ PTX Trainer
- Muzzle: Quartermaster Suppressor
- Underbarrel: Paracord Grip
- Magazine: 50-Round Mag
- Optic: Nydar Model 2023
So we know that the ISO 9mm comes with a super high fire rate. And back in MW2, we couldn’t handle the fire rate due to the lack of gunkick-killing attachments. So, kudos to Sledgehammer Games for allowing us to enjoy these old weapons with fresh attachments that’d turn them into something useful again.
For instance, we’ve got the perfect duo combination here that we strongly recommend using on every SMG and AR: The Paracord Grip + Quartermaster Suppressor muzzle. Now we can use the ISO 9mm with only a vertical and slightly to the right recoil pattern; awesome!
Let’s shift focus on the barrel now: What in the Task Force 141 are these barrel stats? Just press L2/LT on the controller or 1 on your keyboard on any of the ISO 9mm barrels, and you’ll find the worst mixed stats of any attachments you’ve ever seen in MW2, MW3, and Warzone. Our pick? The 9″ PTX Trainer for more movement speed and damage range.
ISO 9mm in MW3 and Warzone Season 5 Review
Let’s be honest here, if you use this weapon against a meta abuser, you have less than a 50% chance of winning the gunfight. Static-HV, Striker, WSP-9, or even the nerfed-to-the-ground Superi 46 are superior to the ISO 9mm at its best loadout in MW3 and Warzone Season 5. You might feel this a lot less in MW3 Multiplayer though.
It makes sense. Probably the best SMG from the MW2 era right now is the Lachmann Shroud with its full auto conversion kit. However, I played, enjoyed, and even got to snatch a few wins using the ISO 9mm in Warzone.
