With Season of the Witch now here, it’s crucial that we learn the best Destiny 2 Opaque Card locations. Opaque Cards were introduced with the new Lectern of Divination seasonal mechanic, allowing us to build up our Deck of Whispers. The Deck of Whispers is a tarot-like deck that gives up rewards and in-game buffs to strengthen our gameplay. You can reveal Opaque Cards using Insight, and they can either be Major or Minor Arcana cards. Each type of card will benefit you differently. Let’s look at some of the best locations to farm Opaque Cards in Destiny 2: Season of the Witch.

There are only two ways to farm Opaque Cards effectively. While there are a couple of others, they’re primarily one-time Opaque Card locations where you can collect them in-game. The best way to get Opaque Cards in Destiny 2 is to farm Seasonal Activities.

By completing Savathun’s Spire and Altars of Summoning, you can obtain loads of Opaque Cards for your Deck of Whispers. At the end of either Seasonal Activity, like most missions, you will be able to collect rewards from a chest. In most cases, this chest will give you at least one Opaque Card in Destiny 2.

Each of these Opaque Cards can be revealed using Insight. The Insight needed for each Opaque Card is shown on that specific card. For instance, the Adherent card required you to gather Insight from public event chests, with the opportunity for more from each Heroic public event. Some other cards require different methods of obtaining Insight.

For some, you must defeat Hive combatants in Savathun’s Spire or Altars of Summoning. Another requires you to complete waves of Altars of Sorrow while you are on the Moon and beat Nightmares in Sorrow’s Harbor. Some even require you to defeat enemies with a specific type of weapon.

How Many Opaque Cards are in Destiny 2?

The Deck of Whispers in Destiny 2 consists of 55 total Opaque cards. We don’t know for sure yet how many of those cards are Major Arcana cards. Only five Major Arcana cards were released within the first week of Season of the Witch, with more to come in the coming weeks.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
