If you’ve played Souls-like games before, you probably know how important it is to level up your character correctly from the start. If you don’t do it right, you are likely to die from any single boss in the mid and late game. Therefore, if you want to know about the best stats you should level up first in Lies of P, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve spent dozens of hours in the game, and so we’ve identified several must-have stats to level up in the beginning.

The game has several characteristics that you can level up with each new level. Luckily, we know which ones are definitely suitable for the early game and will help you deal with any obstacles, namely:

  • Vitality: This characteristic is probably the best in many games, and Lies of P is no exception. At the beginning of the game, we strongly recommend upgrading your Vitality to ensure that you can win long battles, or at least have a better chance of survival. In addition to the basic increase in your health, you also get a raise to such stats as Guard Regain and Damage Defense. Thus, you not only become more tanky, but can also regenerate during combat, which is definitely a great advantage.
  • Capacity: As you progress through the game, you will find more and more items. There will come a time when there will be so many that your character will be more constrained and slow, but not in this case. By upgrading your Capacity, you can carry many more items in your inventory, and therefore have no restrictions on your movement. This is very useful, especially when you’re about to go for a boss and your inventory is full, and you can’t maneuver in time.
  • Vigor: Another incredibly useful characteristic that will help you in battles. Be sure to level it up to enable you to maneuver and dodge enemy attacks more often. Vigor increases not only your maximum level of Stamina, but also improves Damage Defense. If you level up this skill and Vitality in the first few levels, you shouldn’t have any problems with the early bosses and enemies.
