Primal Lord Lone Gaze is a community boss with several billion HP you can fight in AFK Journey. It’s impossible for you to kill this monster on your own, but the point of this battle is to get as much damage as possible. The higher your number, the more chests you can unlock. As expected, players with rare units will claim spots on the ranking, but F2P players still have a chance to get free resources after fighting this boss.
How To Beat Primal Lord Lone Gaze in AFK Journey
Initially, Primal Lord Lone Gaze is the hardest boss in AFK Journey due to his massive damage. However, the developer has decided to nerf the enemy, so you no longer need to run three healers on your team. Here are the abilities that this boss can unleash:

| Ultimate | Every 10, 40 and 70 seconds, the boss will summon a mist to the battlefield. It will shroud the enemy, allowing him to summon wolf packs to attack mist-covered units. The Wolf King also has a chance to dodge attacks when the mist is on the field. |
| Skill 1 | Primal Lord charges towards the farthest hero and strikes. When the mist is active, he will summon spectral wolves to attack the farthest unit. |
| Skill 2 | The boss deals damage twice to the heroes within a one-tile arc. Then, he will damage the units within one tile and inflict an interruption effect. |
| Passive | Primal Lord gains a stats boost when defeating a non-summoned unit. |

Unlike most AFK Journey boss fights, using a Tank to face Primal Lord Lone Gaze is unnecessary. Your main goal is to survive as long as possible while you deal a ton of damage. I recommend using two Healers to keep your team alive, but you may use Thoran since he can revive himself.
For DPS, you can bring any single-target units with the highest rank. I recommend Marilee, Odie, and Shakir, but you may also use Vela and Cecia. As usual, Smokey & Meerky is the best healer to have on your team, but you can bring Hewynn or Damian if you don’t have him.
If you want more survivability, you can use Koko to get his DMG Reduction buff. Reiner also works as a pseudo-healer through his life-stealing skills. On the other hand, you can deal more damage with Kruger’s Phys DEF debuff.
