Right off the bat, the bolt action Sniper Rifles are off the table. The developers don’t seem to like the SRs that much, and you still can’t one-shot headshot the enemies in Warzone 2 Season 5 without the explosive rounds. However, Assault Rifles and Battle Rifles are the best options for range hitters. To build the best Warzone 2 Season 5 loadout, we need to bring in two primary weapons: short-range and extended-range. Here are the options.

One of the best weapon combinations that you can use in Warzone 2 is the SMG/AR. You can use this setup for any mode, like the Battle Royal, Plunder, and, most importantly, the Resurgence. This loadout is effective by using an SMG as your main and an Assault Rifle as your secondary. Let’s dive into the details.
Starting with your primary weapon, you can pick the Vel 46 SMG here, better known as MP7, as a licensed gun. This SMG is a broken meta of Warzone 2 Season 5. And you can quickly feel how strong it is in your first close-quarters combat while using it. However, you won’t be able to shoot any ranged targets with this SMG, so we recommend using a well-balanced AR here.
The Kastov-762 won’t let you down for the secondary weapon. But the 40-round magazine is undoubtedly not what you can call a good one. So, how about its little brother, the Kastov-545? This weapon punches nearly with the same power as the Kastov-762 and has even less recoil with a good setup. Speaking of the best Warzone 2 loadout, however, you’ll also need suitable perks and gear.
First, you would need an Overkill perk to carry two primary weapons. However, for the following perks, your best choices are the Battle Hardened or the Tracker. The first one is better used in MW2 Multiplayer mode to reduce the stun time. But the second one is an excellent option for building the best Warzone 2 Season 5 loadout, and after that, picking a Stun or Flash Grenade as your tactical is good.
