You can unlock the Winds of Ash Camo in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 with a new event. The Path of the Ronin is back, and this time, you can get a camo for each weapon type. Weapon camos have been in the Call of Duty franchise for a long time now. In Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, you can customize your weapons with stickers, charms, and camos. You can unlock these skins by doing challenges. But recently, the newest weapon camo has arrived with the Season 2 Reloaded update.
How to Unlock the Winds of Ash camo in Modern Warfare 2 -Warzone 2
This camo comes with a new Path of the Ronin event. You can unlock Winds of Ash for every weapon category, and each group has a particular task that you can see below:
- Assault Rifles: 125 Headshots.
- Battle Rifles: 75 Headshots.
- Marksman Rifles: 50 Headshots.
- Sniper Rifles: 50 Headshots.
- SMGs: 100 Headshots.
- Shotguns: 50 Headshots.
- Pistols: 30 Headshots.
- LMGs: 75 Headshots.
- Launchers: 40 Kills.
- Melee Weapons: 30 Kills from back.

If you look at the events page on the main menu, you will see these challenges for Winds of Ash camo in Modern Warfare 2. But remember that although there is an image of a particular weapon in each category, it doesn’t mean you have to get your kills with that one. Any gun in each category will do.
What’s the Best Way to Complete the challenges?
The best you can do is set your favorite loadout and go to the Multiplayer mode in small maps like Shipment. Here you just have to manage your shots and try camping as much as possible for more kills and headshots.
For some players that don’t own Modern Warfare 2, a trial period has started today. You can play the Multiplayer mode for free until March 20th. Remember that playing DMZ and farming the bots doesn’t count as a kill/Headshot in this challenge. Grinding for a while will unlock the Winds of Ash camo in Modern Warfare 2 for each category.
If you unlock the Winds of Ash weapon camo for every category, you will get one more camo for all categories. The Blowing Blossoms camo is another reward you can gain from this challenge.
