Beyoncé fans still believe the singer is going on tour after postponing her big announcement. Members of the BeyHive have been eagerly awaiting the day since December 25, 2024. That’s the day Bey performed during the Netflix NFL halftime show. Following her special performance of Cowboy Carter songs, the 32x Grammy winner teased something big. On her Instagram, she posted a short clip of her on a horse, waving an American flag. At the end of the video, the date “1.14.25” flashed on the screen.
Fans immediately flooded her comment section and social media threads with their theories on what the announcement could be. Several noted that the font reminded them of rock and roll, the rumored theme for the third act of her three-act project. Others stated they believed it was the announcement for the tour.
Her big announcement, however, was postponed shortly after midnight on January 14. In her Instagram post, she noted the “ongoing wildfires around the areas of Los Angeles.” Fans praised her for reading the room and realizing the California wildfires were bigger than her. On Reddit, the conversation was similar. However, they also dived into what the special announcement could be. So, what are they saying?
Is Beyoncé Really Going On Tour?
Ever since Beyoncé released Cowboy Carter, fans have been waiting for the news that the singer would be going on tour. After her Christmas performance, which drew 27 million viewers, Queen Bey teased a big announcement. Because of her past timeline (RENAISSANCE release followed by a summer tour), her listeners believed today’s announcement was supposed to be about the tour. And due to the wording in her IG message, they feel stronger than ever about their theory.
On Reddit, fans believe the announcement is “one thousand percent something that costs money.” According to several users, because of the postponement, “it has to be something substantial like a tour.” A third user agreed, saying, “To me, this means it was going to be an announcement that would require us to spend money.” They continued: “If it was a Netflix film or visuals, I think she would’ve still released it. I think asking people to spend money right now on one of her endeavors would’ve come off as tone-deaf, and therefore, she postponed it.” A fourth fan was certain the announcement had to do with a tour. “She wants us to spend our hard-earned [money], but not when there’s a disaster going on.”
The Los Angeles County wildfires have been spreading rapidly since January 7, 2025. The first fire began in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood and has burned over 27,000 acres. Four additional fires started after that, burning nearly 20,000 acres of land. Several celebrities have lost their homes, including Paris Hilton, Mandy Moore, Cameron Mathison, and Tina Knowles. On January 14, President Joe Biden announced that victims of the tragic wildfires would receive a one-time $770 payment.
