Beyoncé has angered her Instagram fans with a photo shoot showing a visible thigh gap. The Grammy winner has dedicated most of her recent social media activity to her newly-released Act II: Cowboy Carter album, however a string of images shared before its release gave a nod to her CR Fashion Book feature.
In a February post, Bey showed off her figure in a shredded, corseted look that saw her going pantless, flaunting her slender waist and shapely legs for an edgy shot. Fans, however, proved outraged over what they considered to be Beyoncé sending out the wrong message about herself. One of the most-liked comments talks about her being “thick one minute,” then showing a thigh gap “the next.” The wife to rapper Jay-Z has not responded to the backlash.

Shooting down the lens with a fierce stare as she posed from a studio, Beyoncé stood with her legs square apart as she modeled a ripped white t-shirt woven into a black, corset-like bodice.
Drawing attention to her hourglass waistline, the singer went off-beat with black graffiti writing on the upper part of her shirt, one that worked its way into a thin white layer of clothing forming a skirt-like shape above her waist. Offering a cheeky rear view in the next photo, the former Destiny’s Child singer showed off her behind and the outfit’s criss-cross corseted back, with a caption reading: “CR Fashion Book issue 24.”
‘Thigh Gap’ Drama In The Comments
While the post gained over 2 million likes including a celebrity one from model Carmen Electra, many of the most-liked comments were giving it the thumbs-down. “I don’t know what’s happening but I don’t like it,” one fan said.
Over 190 fans liked a reply reading: “How one minute she thick and the next she gotta thigh gap.” Jumping in to discuss the “Halo” singer’s weight, another typed: “She was rather thin on tour, so where have you been the last 8 months or so?”
“Beyoncé has been thin for quite some time, except in the year or two after she had children! And I have an aunt with a big old country booty a tiny waist, and a thigh gap,” a third added. The post comes as endless celebrities make headlines for slimming down, from Ozempic users Oprah Winfrey and Sharon Obsourne to faces such as Kim Kardashian and Christina Aguilera.
The queen of R&B has been on the receiving end of remarks about her weight before. “I remember when I started hearing people criticize me after I had put on some weight. I was 19,” she revealed to Harper’s Bazaar.
The photo continued to gain remarks about that thigh gap, with a further user writing: “I don’t believe that thigh gap.”
