Bill Gates’ newborn granddaughter certainly has doting grandparents. The grandparents met their first granddaughter on Thursday and shared the pictures on Instagram.
“I can’t wait to watch you discover the world,” Bill captioned a photo of himself holding the newborn on Instagram. The 67-year-old businessman wore a navy blue sweatshirt and pants in the picture and playfully touched his grandkid’s tiny fingers.
The baby girl is Bill and Melinda’s oldest daughter Jennifer Gates and equestrian Nayel Nassar. The newborn could be seen dressed in an adorable pink onesie.
On the other hand, Melinda also shared a snap of herself holding her granddaughter on Instagram. The philanthropist wrote in the caption, “There is nothing quite like holding your first grandchild 🥰. It seems like just yesterday I was holding Jenn at this age.”
“Now she has a baby of her own—and I am bursting with pride watching her and Nayel step into their new role as parents.”
Melinda wore an orange sweater and black pants in the picture. The 58-year-old smiled at the camera and held her grandchild close to her chest.
It is unknown whether Bill and Melinda Gates visited their granddaughter at the same time. The couple finalized their divorce in August 2021 after 27 years of marriage. Meanwhile, their pictures were uploaded on their social media simultaneously.

Jennifer Gates and Nayel Nassar Are Yet To Name Their Daughter
Jennifer told her Instagram followers in November 2022 that she was pregnant. The equestrian posted pictures showing her baby bump with her husband, Nasser.
She further announced on March 4 that she and her husband had welcomed their first child. “sending love from our healthy little family 💓🙏🥰,” she captioned a photo of the couple holding their baby girl’s feet.
The 26-year-old posted another photo on Thursday of herself laughing as she looked down at her daughter. She simply captioned the pic with a pink flower emoji and a sparkle emoji. In the meantime, the couple is yet to name their daughter.
Jennifer and Nassar tied the knot at her $16 million Westchester horse farm in New York in October 2021.
The extravagant nuptials reportedly cost $2 million. It was also the first time Bill and Melinda were seen together in public since their divorce earlier that year.
