If you don’t like Bill Murray, then there is something provably wrong with you.
Most famous for his role as Peter Venkman in Ghostbusters, Bill Murray is not your average celebrity. He has reportedly wandered into student parties and been found doing the washing up the next morning. When fans have asked to buy him a drink, he has insisted on buying them one instead, due to having more money. And unless he’s crashing a couple’s engagement photos, he’ll then say ‘No one will ever believe you’ and wander off. When Gene Hackman was being ‘difficult’ on the set of The Royal Tenenbaums, Wes Anderson turned to Bill for help.
Of course, on screen, we usually have to make do with Murray’s characters. Nothing wrong with that, but it would be nice to have a focus on the man himself. So it would appear that we’re all in for a Merry Christmas this year, courtesy of Netflix;
According to abc news;
‘In the special, a snowstorm hits New York City and Murray worries that none of his guests will be able to make the trek, according to Netflix. But with a combination of divine luck and perseverance, he ends up partying the night away with countless A-list guests at The Carlyle Hotel.’
Written by Bill Murray, Mitch Glazer and ‘Lost in Translation’s’ director Sofia Coppola (who also directs), this promises to be something very special. Especially because Bill Murray is not the only A-lister in the cast. The cast list includes George Clooney, Dimitri Dimitrov, Michael Cera, Chris Rock, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Miley Cyrus, Jason Schwartzman, Rashida Jones.
‘A Very Murray Christmas’ is due in December and will be available for all regions of Netflix.
