Bioware is working on a new Dragon Age game and gave fans a little taste of what to expect from their new game in the series. Blink and you would have missed it. The short minute-long video doesn’t show gameplay but rather gives fans a look at a stunning piece of art with a bit of voice-over.

The slow build up is surrounded by the dramatic beating of drums until the screen cuts to black. It ends with the hashtag #TheDreadWolfRises and voice-over by Gareth David- Lloyd, the voice of Solas from Dragon Age: Inquisition. Fans of the series will know Solas may also be a trickster god called the Dread Wolf or Fen’Harel. The only words we hear from the teaser are Solas saying, “So you found me at last. I suspect you have questions.” Yes, we have many questions.

Sooo looking forward to voicing Solas again. This teaser is beautiful @dragonage #TheDreadWolfRises

Executive Producer at Bioware, Mark Darrah provided some answers, well not much but still.

We have been working on a new Dragon Age™ game for quite a while now and I am pleased to finally tease the existence of this project! While we won’t be sharing any details for now, I can tell you we have been building a new team around a core of Dragon Age veterans, people I’ve worked with on Dragon Age, Jade Empire™, and some of whom I’ve worked with since the Baldur’s Gate days. While I have been focused on Anthem™, the rest of the team has been hard at work exploring ways to push BioWare’s storytelling to the next level.”

Matthew Goldman, Bioware’s Creative Director said this about the project,

Making players into heroes of their own stories has been my real-life quest since Baldur’s Gate. Over the years I’ve taken on increasing challenges: building vast living worlds, devising fun party-based combat and illustrating fantastic stories. Now, I’m honored and excited to continue BioWare’s rich legacy of colorful companions, romance and epic choices in my favorite fantasy franchise. We’ve gathered our strongest team yet and are venturing forth on the most epic quest ever!”

While the next Dragon Age game remains a huge mystery, it sounds like it will be a sequel to Inquisition. Whether or not you’ll play as the Inquisitor is up in the air. Hopefully, all our questions will be answered soon. We don’t want to keep the Dread Wolf waiting.
