Dragon Age
This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information.

The next Dragon Age is coming, we just don’t know quite when yet. It’s been a little less than a year since we got any new information regarding the sequel to 2014’s Dragon Age: Inquisition. However, Bioware’s Mark Darrah may have just released the first picture of the next game in the series. Either that or he’s pulling our legs, and for that, I say shame.

A string of twitter posts from the executive director may hint that some new information about Dragon Age 4 may be coming soon.

He began by posting,

I’m going to try something…Sorry”

That was shortly followed by the simple message that sparked a series of responses from fans and theorists.

Dragon Age

After posting those two words fans have been wanting to hear for years, Darrah proceeded to say,

Our marketing partner is so mad at me right now.”

What followed was more tweets from the executive director that may have revealed the first in-game picture of Dragon Age 4.

The first appears to be an angry sun using its immense and raw power to blind a knight. While the second one is more interesting.

It may just be a few trees standing around a snow-covered landscape, but it may also be much more than that. This could be the very first image of Dragon Age 4.

Enhancing the image doesn’t seem to reveal any other details, aside from it appears to be taken from a cell phone. Note the small pixels around the darker spots in the photo.

Hey this really is from Dragon Age!

Darrah also posted an adorable animation of a spider he says is actually from Dragon Age.

Keep in mind, this could all be an elaborate hoax or prank, or Mark Darrah is actually Solas the Dread Wolf in disguise. I’d buy it.

To be clear, there isn't going to be anything from ME in the news tomorrow.
But that doesn't stop the news outlets. https://t.co/NC7q2lfRBT

He then posted that perhaps news was coming tomorrow but not ME, Mass Effect news. So, it’s either Anthem related or, in this case, involves the next Dragon Age.

We may also get more information at this year’s Game Awards, as the trailer for Dragon Age 4 premiered during the ceremonies last year.
