How to Become an Airline Captain in BitLife
To become an airline captain, you first need to become a pilot. To become eligible for your pilot’s license, you need to attend university and take 40 hours of flight school. It does not matter what degree you take, but it can also serve as a backup plan if your character retires from being an airline captain and takes another career path. Having high smarts will help you greatly since you will have a good chance of getting a scholarship for your university degree. If you do not have a lot of savings, taking on a part-time job or doing freelance work will help. Once you have completed your first university degree, enroll in graduate school. While the airline pilot job listing lists the required education as having a university degree, you have a high chance of being rejected for the job unless you go to graduate school.
The next step is going to flight school. Under the activities tab, scroll down to licenses and select it. Flight school and pilot’s license will both appear here. You will be given the option to take one hour of lessons or 10. You need a total of 40 hours to take the pilot’s license test, but if you cannot afford to take more than a couple of hours a year, you have the chance to. For example, if your character lives in the United States, each lesson will cost $165 or $6600 for 40 hours.
When you complete all 40 hours of your flight school lessons, you can take your pilot’s license test. Each test also costs money, so you want to try to succeed in as few tries as possible. When you complete the test and get your license, you can now buy a plane! More importantly, though, you can become a pilot. Under the job tab, go to the full-time job listings and search for “Pilot Trainee”. If it does not appear right away, age up a few years and continue checking the job listings until you find it. You also may need to scroll down the list to some of the lower-paying jobs since a pilot trainee does not get paid much at the beginning.
Once you are accepted as a pilot trainee, go to the pilot trainee job tab and select work harder. This will increase your work performance as you do it each year. Continue to work hard and age up every year, and you will eventually receive promotions. Your first promotion will be to Co-Pilot, then to Pilot. Finally, you will be promoted to Airline Captain.
