Treyarch is doing the impossible by giving fans a brand new Black Ops 6 Zombies map as soon as December 5th, and the hype surrounding this new undead playground is over to the moon. The map is a castle with a small village below it, totally giving Der Eisendrakhe vibes, and it’s got melee wonder weapons which are presumed to be some sort of sword. But there’s more to be hyped about this map, and it’s the recent discovery of a 6-year-old Black Ops 4 Zombies easter egg that ties directly to the Black Ops 6 Citadelle des Morts map and Terminus Island ending cutscene.
So after all the exciting leaks and then MrRoffleWaffles going on a journey to visit the Castle of The Dead itself in France, there’s now a new piece of intel found in the Black Ops 4 Voyage of Despair map by Detonated.com. This intel is crucial to the current Zombies narrative, as we’re following the Chaos storyline now and all the BO4 maps with its story are considered canon to the Dark Aether timeline.
The easter egg is about Alister Rhodes talking about the Prima Materia, a powerful thing like the Element 115 from the past Zombies story that is capable of creating life itself! Wonder how Ravenov is still mighty in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies? This could be your answer. Here’s what Alister Rhodes has to say about this item:
Prima Materia. It is the key, the crucial. No, no. The essential ingredient to life itself. The power to create. To enlighten. To enhance. For centuries it was believed extinguished. Expunged from earth. But when Shaw and I encountered it in (static). I witnessed its power. It was everything. Primitive, formless. To call it unstable would be a disservice. It is chaotic. Raw. Chaos. And while it wields the power to manufacture unfiltered beauty and wonder, unsafe exposure to the raw material can (static) exposing the cruelty and savagery our evolution has buried. The lurking beast that we suppress, sheds our skin- and is revealed.
Now to gain the knowledge of using Prima Materia, one must pass the trials of the Sentinel Artifacts. Interestingly, we learn in Black Ops 6 that Edward Richtofen was looking for these items before seemingly getting trapped in the Dark Aether in the Liberty Falls cinematic intro cutscene.
The new Black Ops 6 Zombies Citadelle des Morts main easter egg is presumed to answer a number of our questions regarding this matter, with the Sentinel Artifact being present on this map and a man who knows about it being interrogated by the enemies. Gabriel Krafft is a demonologist that we know he’s been studying the works of Alister Rhodes since Vanguard Zombies.
It is so amazing to see some old Zombies maps still hold some secrets that we haven’t found yet. Speaking of which, is the Black Ops 3 impossible easter egg solved yet? I don’t think so.
