After almost two weeks of Omnimovement chaos, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta is over and we can go back to our classic MW3/Warzone experience. Now as much as Black Ops 6 excelled in the movement side of things, I can’t deny its one overshadowing issue that was even worse than Warzone. Have you played BO6 beta and felt like the enemies are killing you with 3 shots while the best you can do is a 4 shot damage to the head? Yeah, just that!
So far we’ve praised Black Ops 6 beta so much for its near-perfect Gunsmith system, rewarding perks, and the goldfish Omnimovement. However, The one thing that killed me more than the enemies in the game was the Packet Burst and net coding issues.
Yes, yes, yes, checking the internet connection and playing on LAN instead of Wifi is the basic drill of everyday Call of Duty players, and I’ve done all that. But this is a net code problem, which isn’t on my end. I remember the same thing with XDefiant, and that’s one reason I left that game 1 week after release. It’s when you shoot or move behind a cover, and your actions are not registered by the game servers; It’s PAIN!
So if you’ve also tried killing an enemy by pointing your gun and shooting directly at them only to realize that your shots are as worthless as Uncle Woods’ legs, you’re not alone buddy. We’ve all been there, and it’s not all from your internet connection. You don’t need to repair your files and download 200 GB of data over and over again. It’s on Activision’s end, and we hope that it gets fixed in time of release.
This issue had hit Black Ops 6 beta players so hard that many of my fellow teammates thought that we were running into cheaters. But this wasn’t about cheaters if there were any, and it has nothing to do with the SBMM that has become the hot topic of BO6 trends for months now.
