After a silent delay that went unnoticed by most users, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 4 release date is announced, but there’s a catch. The main character revealed for this season is none other than the one Russel Adler presumably shot in the head by the end of the Warzone Cold War era. This paves the way for the return of many other characters like Bell, whose dead bodies we never really saw, which is a big mistake in my opinion.
Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 4 Release Date
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 4 will start on May 29, 2029. Both games will have new weapons, maps, and potentially new game modes with fresh playlists. However, a recent post by Treyarch hints at a potential Zombies Grief game mode, showcasing two opposing factions in a new teaser.
Call of Duty Really Needs To Stop Recycling Characters
In the Black Ops 6 Season 3 outro, we see that Russel Adler has uncovered the identities of Pantheon operators around the globe, but the details are all in Russian ciphers. And the only person who can translate the info is none other than Stitch. Yes, another Call of Duty character that “wasn’t in that cutscene.” Is it really cool though? Are you excited to see Stitch return? I’m not.
It’s the multiverse logic that several versions of a character exist in the other timelines and the writer is always free to bring in a variant of the dead character at their will. But you know what’s way more exciting than that? When you see Victor Zakhaev get shot and then thrown off a fatal height, only to return in the Zombies game mode of a Modern Warfare game! Why is that even a thing Call of Duty?
If you don’t see the dead body, the character will likely return. That’s the logic Call of Duty rocks these days, and Stitch’s return in Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 4 follows the same path. This is all while we have a very suspicious and fan-favorite character like Case, whom we’re dying to know more about. And, there are characters with shady backstories like Adler and Park that we never got to see or know more about their heroic past. Oh, and what happened to Jane Harrow’s parents? We’re not getting that in the seasonal stories? See, so much potential is buried.
As for now, we only have to wait and see what mystery awaits with Stitch’s in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 4, which will be released on May 29. He’s combat-ready in the teaser image released by Treyarch, so we can assume that he’ll break out of jail or maybe even cooperate with Adler and the team. Time will tell.
